Stone Rip Rap
Stone Rip Rap
This material is a permanent, erosion-resistant ground cover constructed of large boulder-sized rock that ranges in size from 6 inches to 40 inches. It is often used at storm drain outlets, on channel banks and/or bottoms, roadside ditches, drop structures, at the foot of slopes, or to stabilized streams. The large boulder-sized rocks will not compact and is made to be machine placed in uniform layers.
Road Base
Type 2 Base
This material is made from a mixture of different sizes of crushed rock from 3/4" all the way down to fine dust. It is a an open graded mix used in lower volume residential streets or in areas where water drainage is desired.

Fill Dirt
This material comes from overburden, which is the dirt that we remove to get to the limestone in our quarries. It can be used for general fill. There is some oversize rock mixed in with the dirt.

Top Soil
This material is the upper, outermost layer of soil, usually the top 2 inches (5.1 cm) to 8 inches (20 cm). It has the highest concentration of organic matter and microorganisms and is where most of the Earth's biological soil activity occurs. A variety of soil mixtures are sold commercially as topsoil, usually for use in gardens and lawns: container gardens, potting soil and peat. Another important yet not commonly known use for topsoil is for proper surface grading near residential buildings such as homes.
Crushed Stone
Crushed stone or angular rock is a form of construction aggregate, typically produced by mining a suitable rock deposit and breaking the removed rock down to the desired size using crushers. It is distinct from gravel which is produced by natural processes of weathering and erosion, and typically has a more rounded shape.
Crushed Stone
Aggregated Base
This material is composed of crushed rock capable of passing through a 3⁄4 in (19.05 mm) rock screen that produces particles that vary in size from 3/4 inch down to dust. It is commonly used as a base course in roadways or for cement pads and foundations and as backfill material for underground pipelines and other underground utilities.
